I created this adorable critters a couple of years ago as Valentine's cards for some of my co workers. I work at a veterinary hospital full time and have a huge love for animals! When I originally did them, I only made dogs and cats. The process for creating these is very similar to how I made the groundhog for Groundhog Day. The animals are created using basic shapes, most of which are hearts!
This time I created a bear, fish, and a puppy dog. I think the fish is my favorite-it's just so cute! To make this project you will need:
- color paper of your choice
- scissors
- glue
- googly eyes (optional-you can also create your own eyes using cut out circles)
For each animal I cut out some heart shapes in various sizes and arranged them to create the shape of that animal. I have included a video below ( I didn't get many photos this time around!) so that you can follow a long to create your own animals. What other types of animals do you think you could make?
