Valentine Heart Wreath

Hopefully you aren't tired of all of the heart shaped crafts we are making this week! This craft is probably best suited for the younger crowd, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I enjoyed it myself😉

To make your wreath you will need:

paper of different colors

scissors

paper plate

ribbon to hang your wreath

Start off by cutting out hearts in different sizes. I would say about 15-20 hearts, depending on the sizes you choose. I used the left over hearts from our Valentine Craft Kits to make my wreath.

Next, take your paper plate and cut out the center so just the outer ring is left. I unfortunately only had those waxy kind of paper plates so cutting out the center of my plate meant cutting through the outer edge and around and then gluing the ring back together. A little extra step, yes, but it worked!

Now you just have to glue your hearts around your paper plate ring. Super easy! I laid mine out first to see where I wanted to place them before gluing them down. I found it was helpful to kind of layer the hearts so they weren't just a solid circle around the plate.

Once you've finished gluing them, you can take your ribbon and tie it to the top of your wreath, or form a knot and glue it to the back (that's what I did).

Voila! You now have your very own DIY Valentine Wreath!

We hung our wreath with our cute Heart Guy that was part of the Valentine Craft Kit. They both add just the right amount of love and cheer to the classroom for the season.
